I am a Cape Town based photographer, which is pretty much one of the most beautiful places in the world! I have a love for photography, adventure and all things beautiful.
I’m loud, laugh a lot and love to have fun. You’ll usually catch me with a smile on my face. Photography and capturing moments not only of my family and friends but of others is what makes me the happiest. Its such a rewarding feeling getting to share in other peoples moments and provide them with life long memories in the form of photographs.
I’m a proud Capetonian, but as great as Cape town is, I also have a longing to travel, and cannot wait to adventure around more of this epic world with my camera in hand!
Being a creative means that I have more than one hobby. I am obsessed with interior design (Pinterest addict right here!). I have so many creative project ideas in my head, more than I know what to do with or have the time for. I am a day dreamer at heart. I love music and I’m constantly searching for my next favourite band to listen to (don’t ask me to sing though..). Also, food. I love all the food!
I study Foundation Phase teaching part time, I love kids and how they are so unaffected, innocent and full of real emotion. I think we should all aim to be a little more child-like in this regard.
I hope to share more than just my photography on here, but these other interests too. However, out of all my hobbies and interests (there are many!) photography has always stuck out – even when I didn’t realise it. In my spare time you’ll find me behind the lens.
I love photos, they hold a special place in my heart as they’re a reminder of what was, even when your memory starts to fade. I am honoured to play a part in my client’s stories and I urge you to print your pictures, keep them safe and share them often.
How rewarding it is to think that I will be behind those images that your grandkids look at one day, as they sit around a table together telling tales of the people and moments that once were.
I love moments. I love watching the sun sink into the horizon and rise over the mountains. I love people and connecting with them. Listening to their stories and knowing about what inspires them. Real moments mean more than posing you on the other side of my lens. I want to capture your love, how he makes you laugh when you’re trying not to, how she can bring out a side of you that no one else can or the look in your eyes when you glance over at each other while no one else is watching.
My approach is that of a documentary style, whether it be for your wedding day or a family photo shoot – I will obviously guide and pose you when needed but ultimately let your individuality shine through. It can feel awkward and vulnerable to be in front of a camera, but that’s why I’m here to help you through the whole process. Most importantly I want to spend time with you, get to know the people I’m photographing.
